I have a friend who is so dear to me...
Some days I go blank and just can't see.
I always wonder how he could really like me at all...
Have never seen this side of him before... y'all.
Yet... he seems to not want to give up on me...
I really don't understand how this all came to be.
I often wonder if they'll call him to war...
He's never said anything, I hope not tomorrow.
Friend, if I ever lose you again, you must understand...
I can't live without your friendship, so keep my hand.
Keep my hand in yours always... never, never let it go...
Tomorrow could be a brighter day, maybe so?
If I could go back, I'd sure change a lot of stuff...
Like the time I should have called... for me, that was tough.
I think my friend is now truly awesome... like a dove...
Words may never describe it, but... it has to be love!
